In C+D’s latest podcast, clinical editor Naimah Callachand speaks to Harpreet Chana – a pharmacist, professional coach specialising in mental health prevention and awareness and founder of the Mental Wealth Academy – who highlights the daily stresses and pressures faced by pharmacists every day that could result in mental health issues.

The pharmacy can be a high-pressured and stressful workplace. Isolation, staff shortages, stock shortages, increasing paperwork and dealing with difficult customers are just a few of the issues pharmacists face that could contribute to stress and mental health issues. Ms Chana discusses the importance of breaking the stigma and coming forward to ask employers for support – but also how to identify employees in the pharmacy who may be struggling with their mental health.
