Newly Qualified Pharmacist Programme with Boots

Like

As a Boots Newly Qualified Pharmacist, we’ll ensure that when you join us you have the right support in place from day one. You will start your pharmacist journey with our unique Foundation Programme.

Here are some of our frequently asked questions:

Will I have a mentor?

Yes, as a Newly Qualified Pharmacist at Boots you’ll enrol on to our Newly Qualified Foundation Programme. As part of this programme you will work with a mentor known as a HAT (Healthcare Academy Trainer). Additional to this you will have mentors in your line manager and area manager.

Which areas offer relocation payment?

This depends on where you are in the UK, we offer relocation payments in Scotland, Wales and England, mostly in coastal towns or in the countryside. A relocation payment is an additional payment to live and work in that location. Please speak to a member of our Recruitment team for further information.

Do you offer tier 2 sponsorship?

Yes, we can offer Tier 2 candidates roles nationwide.

Can I work part-time?

Yes, in some areas we do take part-time Newly Qualified Pharmacists. Please speak to our Recruitment team to discuss further.

What does ‘relief’ mean?

Firstly, it still means you are employed by Boots! Working on relief means you will be allocated a base store but will travel across the area to different stores, covering for pharmacist’s absence and days off, and at other times you will support busy stores as a second pharmacist. It’s a great opportunity to get to know our business better by working in different store formats and with different teams.
