Pharmacist publishes women’s health book
Dowling said she created the book to “close the huge gap in women’s health education” and give women a “safe, shame-free space” to learn about their bodies.
“This book is your guide, your cheerleader, and your reminder that knowing yourself is the ultimate power,” she added.

The pharmacist has racked up hundreds of thousands of followers online with over 293,000 on Instagram and over 54,700 on TikTok where she offers women’s health advice.
She started her social media accounts as a place “where no question was off-limits” for women and they could get “clear, honest answers without judgement”.
“As my community grew, I began travelling around Ireland giving talks to women, and it quickly became clear that this need was everywhere.”

In 2024, she had toured with her ‘Viva La Vulva’ show to have these discussions in a live setting and her new book ‘Love Your Vulva’ continues that through a guide to understanding women’s bodies.
The book covers topics such as anatomy and hygiene, childbirth, sex, the menopause and other topics that aim to “break taboos with honesty and humour” through advice, stories and practical tips.
Dowling previously worked as a pharmacist at Boots early in her career as well as at Irish community pharmacy group Stack’s.

Dowling is also founder of fabÜ, a wellness brand that sells supplements to boost women’s health which she started after growing “frustrated” that “women and men receive one-size-fits-all advice”.
