Pyramid Pharmacy launches women’s health drop-in
Pyramid Pharmacy Group has launched a women’s health drop-in event at Health & Beauty Pharmacy in Gerrards Cross.
The event will take place on Friday (October 9), and brings together menopause educators, haircare and dental experts, and the pharmacy’s own clinicians to offer a range of advice.
Pyramid said the event is designed as a “starting point for a broader programme shaped around what local women say they need”.

It opened Health & Beauty Pharmacy in June and said it has seen a gap in people “searching for information online and booking a formal appointment”.
“There is plenty of material online, but the sheer volume can be confusing, and there are fewer places to speak informally with a healthcare professional,” it added.
Pyramid said community pharmacies are “well placed to fill that space” and to have early conversations with women to help them judge when they can manage something themselves and when to seek further clinical support.

The event will see menopause educator Meera Bhogal take part alongside hair care experts from Philip Kingsley, dental experts from Revive Clinic and clinical advice from Pyramid’s own pharmacy team, with the aim for women to leave knowing what options and support are available “without having to seek out each area separately”.
Pyramid said the event will guide how it develops future health initiatives, with the longer-term aim being for the pharmacy “to be somewhere women turn to earlier when they have questions about their health.”

Pyramid Pharmacy Group director Amir Bhogal said the group sensed a “real opportunity to broaden the healthcare services available locally, particularly around prevention and access to clinical advice”.
“What we have seen is that women do not necessarily lack information, but they can lack a clear way of making sense of it and knowing who to speak to next,” he added.
He said the event gives Pyramid the chance to “hear directly from women about what they feel is missing locally” so future events and services are “shaped around the questions they are actually asking”.

It comes after Pharmacy2U launched a women’s health hub in May offering products, education and support “to help people navigate signs of menopause”.
And it follows a report in April saying community pharmacy should become a “first port of call” for menopause advice and signposting.
