Rakhi Aggarwal is a pharmacist and healthcare leader driving transformational change in medicines use, safety, and optimisation across the nation’s health system. She currently is the primary care lead for medicines use and safety at the NHS Specialist Pharmacy Service in addition to being head of medicines optimisation at Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent integrated care board, where she champions smarter medicines strategies and system-wide improvements in patient care.

With deep expertise in antimicrobial stewardship, cross-sector collaboration, and clinical pharmacy practice, Rakhi has led impactful initiatives to reduce inappropriate antibiotic use and enhance medicines safety. Her work brings together healthcare professionals, community partners, and academic organisations to improve outcomes at scale.

Rakhi is also a Visiting Professorial Fellow at Aston University, a passionate mentor, and an active voice in professional education, regularly speaking on podcasts and webinars to support and inspire fellow pharmacists. Beyond her professional life, Rakhi balances her busy career with family time, chess, and reading, always ready to take on the next challenge with curiosity, care, and commitment.
