The benefits of making the product more accessible is that it gives patients more confidence in  taking care of their health and improving their appearance. It also projects the product as being “safe enough” to be used by the public.
However, the other side of it  is , there’s a risk of abuse by patients especially teenagers and young adults , whose skin concerns may arise from various causes and  will require further assessment . Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat mild acne , excluding severe cases of multiple spots on the face and blistering . Some acne conditions may even  need antibiotics for effective treatment.
