independent prescribing should not be built into the mpharm degree. I know I did not have the knowledge and experience to prescribe as a newbie pharmacist and I needed 2-3 years experience before I became knowledgeable in a variety of medicines. It would also be a logistical nightmare trying to find DMPs for thousands of students year after year.
