Bestway's race day raises the stakes

Bestway held its 33rd 'race day' in support of WaterAid, the 28th charity to benefit from the business raising over £5m at the track.

Held at Royal Ascot on 19th June, some 750 guests supported the event, as horses galloped around the track and edgy punters waged thousands in cash. 

Guests included former Prime Minister, Baroness Theresa May.

“Here's to another fantastic year of partnership, philanthropy and purpose,” said Bestway.

Last year, Bestway owned Well revealed a  challenging year.

Bestway Health CEO Greg Pateras said the business “made progress, growing revenue despite disposing of a number of stores”.

“Losses improved year-on-year, but the fact that the business still made a loss reflects the inadequacy of the funding increase in the year, given the increases to national insurance, living wage and other costs."
