Pyramid Pharmacy Group has raised £320,839 for charity One Kind Act, after the company hosted a summer fundraising garden party in Buckinghamshire.

Hosted at the home of Pyramid Pharmacy Group owners the Bhogal family, 220 guests were in attendance for a “catered lunch, live music and a DJ set” during the June 27 event.

The benefit was in aid of charity One Kind Act, which raises money to improve the lives of those facing poverty, particularly focusing on improving health and education outcomes.

Its work focuses on distributing funds “as grants to organisations that need financial support for specific projects”, with each organisation being “carefully reviewed before funding is awarded”.

The charity’s patron, former England cricketer Mark Ramprakash, was also in attendance and “lent his support to the day's fundraising”.

To fundraise, there was a “raffle, pledges and [an] auction” with the event raising over £240k more than the previous year and over £220k above the company’s expected target.

The highest bid of the day was for a Rolex Submariner, which sold during the auction for £14k.

A large donation was also given by Samit and Alpa Hathi from B&S Group, which helped to boost the day’s fundraising total.

Prizes for the raffle were donated by members of the community and local businesses.

The Pyramid Pharmacy Group said “their generosity reflected the strength of the community network behind the event and its shared commitment to One Kind Act's work”.

The event was funded and hosted by the pharmacy group and so “none of the day's costs came out of the final total”, with all the money fundraised going “straight to One Kind Act”.

Pyramid Pharmacy Group chief executive Raj Bhogal said “for us, community pharmacy has always been about more than healthcare - it's about looking after people and doing what we can to support the communities around us”.

“Seeing everyone come together for One Kind Act was incredibly special, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success,” he added.

It comes after Community Pharmacy Scotland raised £8,732 during a golf day in June 2025 for the organisation Held In Our Hearts.

The charity has offered grief support for those who have suffered the loss of a baby for over forty years.

And it follows the charity Pharmacist Support seeking trustees and ambassadors to join its team.

Until August 3, the charity is looking for pharmacy professionals to join its Charity Ambassador volunteer network to help “raise awareness of the charity and strengthen engagement across the profession”.
