Former pharma worker passes away in Air India crash
A pharmaceutical supplier has paid tribute to one of its former colleagues who died in the Air India crash last week (June 12).
B&S Group announced this week (June 18) the “news of the tragic passing of our former colleague and dear friend, Ketan Shah, in the devastating Air India crash on 12th June 2025”.

It added: “Ketan was not just a valued part of the B&S Group family, he was a bright light in every room, known for his warmth, integrity, and unwavering positivity. His legacy remains in the friendships he nurtured and the lives he touched.
“We extend our deepest condolences to Ketan’s family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Ketan. You will always be remembered.”
Air India confirmed that last Thursday, its Boeing 787-8 airplane flying from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick “crashed shortly after take-off” and “of the 242 aboard, there are 241 confirmed fatalities”.

It added that the passengers comprised of “169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals and one Canadian national” with the sole survivor “a British national of Indian origin”.
Air India offered “its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased”.

B&S Group added “words cannot express the sorrow we feel, but we stand in solidarity with all those grieving this unimaginable loss”.
The pharmaceutical supplier works in distribution and parallel imports in UK community pharmacy.
